Shoe Tales

By admin on Friday 1st May 2009

Yarn and Yarn

Cardiff based Yarn and Yarn collects people who like or would like to learn knitting, crochet, quilting, sewing, cross stitch, and more. We gather from 7.30pm every other Tuesday to help each other out, show off our creations, chat over a drink, and generally have a lovely time whilst carefully constructing lots of pretty and very clever things.
As part of the Small Weekend festival Yarn and Yarn are planning to make graffiti knitting, teach people to knit & crochet, AND promote our International Knit in Public day event!
We’ll be in the main bar area of Milgi from 3 unti 8pm - come join us, bring some wool and needles (but we’ll have spares too) and get your craft on!

Shoe Tales

Shoe tales is communal art project that invites people to show and tell stories, anecdotes and memories of their shoes on postcards.
At the small weekend, the Shoe Tales project will return to Milgi lounge with two giant paper mache shoes and two hundred and counting postcard stories.
You’ll be able to take part in this storytelling and art installation from 3 til 8 by contributing your story. All creative materials will be there for you to use - for further details visit www.shoetales.co.uk
