CHLOE MATHARU
Chloe Matharu is a captivating nineteen year old singer from Edinburgh whose cultural roots lie in Scotland, Wales and India. She’s heavily influenced by the likes of Pentangle and Fairport from the 1960’s Folk Revival and grew up surrounded by the wealth of traditional music in Scotland and Wales. While at school Chloe won a place in the Radio 2 Cambridge Folk Festival with it’s Youth Band. She’ll be releasing her debut album, Next Market Day, later this year.
‘ delivers a wonderful variety of songs with confidence and sincerity … a voice with the purity of a folk classic’ - Bella Hardy.
“There’s a … refreshingly unaffected, intimate and pastoral quality to Chloe Matharu’s singing” Karine Polwart
“Sounds like she’s channelling Pentangle from 1967” Ken Josenhans Ann Arbor USA

EVENING CHORUS
New young folk-inflected band with an alternative homespun feel who delight in the power of combined voices and interweaving instruments – think Fleet Foxes unplugged. They took the Yurt by storm when they played in the Autumn, have a growing reputation in Cardiff & Bristol (and Chicago!) and recently won their way through to the last phase of the Green Man Festival Poll deciding who opens the Festival!
“they harmonize in a soulful way to emphasize the sorrow of heartbreak. Banjo, violin and guitar build, then fall down to a quiet strum, only to build again, … incredible potential” www.loveshackbaby.net music blog, Chicago, Illinois.

INTERAILIA
The Interalia are a multi-generational quartet of musicians who specialise in jigs, reels and hornpipes, heartbreaking original songs and magical covers of old folk songs. “We pick the tunes and songs that speak deepest to us, and deliver them in a raw and evocative style that stirs up the soul of anyone who listens”.

CHAIR MASSAGE fit for the STARS
As part of the backstage ‘On the Spot’ massage team at the John Peel Stage in Glastonbury (check out http://massageonthespot.co.uk) Paul has garnered ecstatic appreciations from rising stars such as James Allen from Glasvegas ‘Thanks millions, needed that!’; Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend ‘Very nice!; and oodles of others (see below). Paul will be offering chair massage for donations between 6pm and 8pm. And if you’re a musician remember that Paul’s magic hands have massaged FOUR artists who went on to be nominated for a Mercury Award. No guarantees though!
Natasha Khan aka Bat for Lashes said ‘what you’re doing is brilliant! such a special treat before and after performing. Thank you – amazing!’
Katie White of the Ting Tings commented ‘Just had something similar in San Diego, you are far better’;
