Yurt & Parties

Our Garden

Our Yurt

is situated in our back garden and acts as an alternative eating, drinking and meeting space.

Traditionally a Mongolian nomadic home Milgi wouldn’t quite be the same without it.

Following our bohemian spirit we see it as the perfect alternative space to escape the hustle
and bustle on City Road and be transported to a different place.

What goes on in the yurt?

Acoustic Sessions

We run a bi-monthly acoustic evening which will un-doubtidly gives encourages bohemian festival feelings and is a very popular social event with a great community spirit - just the way we like it!

Anyone is welcome and like everything at Milgi is free to attend. If you want to get involved then it’s as simple as giving us an email to book in your slot.

Storytelling

The third Tuesday of every month we have a wonderful evening of stories and music in our atmospheric and enchanting yurt.

As part of the evening we also have a Storytelling seasonal special for an affordable £6.50. It’s advisable to book and arrive a little earlier.

Otherwise, admission to the storytelling is free, or whatever you would like to donate as the hat comes round. Introduced by David Ambrose and Guto Dafis each month brings new storytellers.

If anyone in the audience would like to do a story or a couple of songs or tunes, please arrive early and speak to David and Guto.
