CELLOBRATION!
A unique night of duelling cellos, looped cellos, rock cellos, jazzy cellos and cello-fuelled-storytelling - in a Yurt - in which we showcase the astonishing diversity of the cello with a unique coming together of musicians who each explore its possibilities across a range of genres.
NEXUS QUARTET four young guys in their late teens, trained as classical cellists, who create a fabulous cello-driven-rock-metal hybrid (as you do)!
LUCELLO dazzling solo cello infused with jazz, blues and improv from Mavron Quartet member Lucy O’Connor who played a Yurtstorming set at Meltdown in 2009.

MIRIAM WAKELING Sings and plays cello through a loop pedal. A member of experimental band Mantlepiece, Chamber Orchestra ‘The Upbeat Camerata,’ ‘The Taunton Sinfonietta’ and RWCMD Symphony Orchestra. At Somerset’s festival ‘Hestfest,’ she collaborated with percussionist and Guitarist Dan Broadbent to perform a mixed set of ambient folk
